Primary Care Physician

Job Responsibilities: 

• Perform annual evaluations and ensure preventative procedures. 
• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses or injuries. 
• Prescribe medications; order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. 
• Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare. 
• Implement treatment plans and determine final diagnoses. 
• Ensure patients meet medical admission criteria. 
• Participate in Quality Assurance and utilization review processes. 
• Supervise medical assistants and phlebotomists. 
• Maintain medical records according to regulations. 
• Prepare super bills and perform duties ethically. 
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements: 

• Licensed to practice medicine in this state as an MD. 
• At least 5 years of experience as a licensed physician. 
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments. 
• Strong judgment, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. 
• Professional and courteous interaction with individuals inside and outside the organization. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EHR (Electronic Health Records). 
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage competing priorities. 
• Bilingual skills preferred (English/Spanish or English/Creole).
