Job Description

Title: Construction Superintendent

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities including schedule adherence, subcontractor supervision, and safety compliance
  • Interpret and enforce project plans, specifications, and RFIs
  • Maintain current and accurate job site documentation, including updated drawings and daily logs
  • Coordinate subcontractor schedules and vendor deliveries to align with project milestones
  • Communicate site progress and challenges with Project Managers and the wider project team
  • Attend and lead jobsite meetings, including safety inspections and municipal walkthroughs
  • Manage material needs and supply procurement directly from the field
  • Lead site safety and enforce compliance with OSHA standards
  • Guide final punch list completion and certificate of occupancy process
  • Serve as a primary on-site contact for field-related problem-solving and direction

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with ground-up K-12 or institutional projects
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between project sites
  • Deep understanding of building systems, construction practices, and subcontractor scopes
  • OSHA 30 and current CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Proficient in reading construction drawings and updating project documentation
  • Ability to lead diverse teams and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Skilled in maintaining jobsite professionalism and representing the contractor to clients, inspectors, and the public
