Overview:
A leading national general contractor with deep local roots is seeking a Project Executive to drive the success of key commercial construction projects across Central Indiana. This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with a track record in industrial, education, institutional, healthcare, or commercial office construction.
The Project Executive will oversee the full life cycle of major construction efforts โ from early client engagement and preconstruction through field execution and final closeout โ while also serving as a strategic leader in business development and team mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership
- Collaborate closely with Preconstruction teams to define scope, budgets, and procurement strategies
- Provide oversight across all phases of construction to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence
- Lead coordination with field leadership and subcontractors to maintain jobsite excellence
- Track project performance, cost exposure, and forecasting throughout execution
- Ensure seamless project closeouts with a focus on client satisfaction
Client Engagement & Business Development
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners across Indiana
- Support and participate in proposal efforts, interviews, and pre-award negotiations
- Identify new business opportunities and support strategic pursuit planning
- Represent the company at industry events and within the local market
Team Leadership
- Serve as a mentor and coach to Project Managers and Assistant PMs
- Build positive, productive working relationships across departments
- Uphold the companyโs commitment to excellence in communication, accountability, and culture
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- 10+ years of progressive construction experience, with several years in a senior or executive capacity
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and teams
- Strong industry relationships within Central Indiana and a passion for building high-impact spaces
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
