Role Overview
The Nurse Manager GI Endoscopy Services provides clinical and administrative leadership for the endoscopy unit. You'll manage daily operations, develop staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain the highest standards of patient care. The Nurse Manager GI Endoscopy Services collaborates with physicians, staff, and hospital leadership to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a perioperative team of 20+ healthcare professionals in the GI endoscopy unit
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing protocols and standards of care
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
- Manage departmental budget, resources, and staffing
- Facilitate continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Supervise staff development, education, and performance
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration within the perioperative environment
- Drive patient satisfaction and clinical excellence
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and technological upgrades
Qualifications
- Five years cumulative experience in GI endoscopy nursing
- One year of supervisory experience in the relevant area of expertise
- Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current CPR recognition
- Current ACLS recognition
- Current PALS recognition (within 12 months of hire)
- BSN required, MSN preferred
- CGRN certification preferred
