Job Description

Job Title: CT Technologist

Locations: Metro Denver, Northern CO

Job Type: Full-Time

Shifts: Days & Weekends

Responsibilities of the CT Technologist:

  • Perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established departmental protocols.
  • Review patient history and assess clinical information to ensure appropriateness of CT examinations, verifying patient identification and reviewing for contraindications.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure comfort, safety, and cooperation throughout the imaging process.
  • Correctly position patients and operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Administer contrast media safely when indicated, monitor patient responses, and report any adverse reactions or changes in condition promptly.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and complete required documentation in the electronic medical record system.
  • Ensure CT equipment is functioning properly through daily quality control checks and promptly report any malfunctions.
  • Adhere to regulatory and safety guidelines including those set by ARRT, ACR, The Joint Commission, and HIPAA.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide timely and coordinated care.
  • Participate in ongoing quality assurance and improvement initiatives to support accreditation and best practice standards.
  • Remain current with continuing education and evolving CT imaging technologies and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist (RT); and certified or registry-eligible in Computed Tomography (CT), with certification required within 12 months of hire.
