Director of Nursing

Long Term Care Facility overview: 

• Oversight of all services within the Long-Term Care Facility 
• Subacute care – Residents with ventilator and tracheotomy requirements. 
• Skilling Nursing – Long Term skilled nursing care for residents with personal and medical needs 
• Transitional Care – Short term, providing care for patients requiring rehabilitative therapies, wound care and recovering from accidents or invasive procedures. 

Responsibilities: 

• Provide clinical and operational leadership for Long-Term Care Center 
• Oversee daily operations to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations. 
• Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and standards specific to long-term care. 
• Manage and support nursing staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development. 
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, social workers, and administrative staff. 
• Ensure patient safety, promote positive patient outcomes, and enhance resident satisfaction. 
• Monitor and manage budget, resources, and staffing levels to optimize care delivery. 
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission). 

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in nursing 
• Current CA RN license and CPR certification 
• 5 years of experience as a registered nurse in a Skilled Nursing Facility or acute care setting 
• 3 years of experience in a Nursing Leadership role 
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets and implement process improvements 
• Strong understanding of staffing and clinical best practices 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• 5 years leadership experience 
• BSN 
• 8 years nursing experience
