We’re partnering with a respected healthcare organization in South Texas to find a skilled and forward-thinking Director of Nursing to oversee Post Care Cardiac and Acute Stroke services. This is an ideal opportunity for a collaborative, clinically experienced nurse leader ready to drive high-impact change across two essential service lines.

If you’re a Nurse Manager, Charge RN, or healthcare leader with experience in cardiac, stroke, or step-down/telemetry care, this role offers the chance to lead with purpose in a dynamic hospital setting.

🫀 Why This Role Matters

As Director, you’ll have 24/7 operational responsibility for the units under your leadership, supporting the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. Your work will directly influence outcomes for cardiac and stroke patients—some of the most time-sensitive and high-acuity cases in the hospital.

This role combines strategic planning with frontline engagement—making it perfect for a leader who thrives at the intersection of clinical excellence and operational performance.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across Post Cardiac Care and Acute Stroke units, ensuring clinical excellence and continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership on performance improvement, staff development, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, evidence-based practice, and interprofessional teamwork.
  • Support nursing staff development and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

What They’re Looking For

  • Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
  • Associate degree in Nursing with a bachelor’s in healthcare or a BSN required
  • Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare-related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment (e.g., Manager, Charge RN)
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and clinical judgment skills

🌴 Why South Texas?

🚀 Make a Measurable Difference

This is your chance to shape clinical excellence in two critical service lines—impacting not only patient outcomes but also the future of nursing leadership in a thriving healthcare system.

If you’re ready to lead with heart, strategy, and purpose, we’d love to hear from you.
