We’re partnering with a respected healthcare organization in South Texas to find a skilled and forward-thinking Director of Nursing to oversee Post Care Cardiac and Acute Stroke services. As Director, you’ll have 24/7 operational responsibility for the units under your leadership, supporting the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across Post Cardiac Care and Acute Stroke units, ensuring clinical excellence and continuity of care.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership on performance improvement, staff development, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, evidence-based practice, and interprofessional teamwork.
- Support nursing staff development and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
✅ What They’re Looking For
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Associate degree in Nursing with a bachelor’s in healthcare or a BSN required
- Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare-related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment (e.g., Manager, Charge RN)
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong leadership, communication, and clinical judgment skills
