Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems that align with client requirements and project specifications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, sustainable, and code-compliant solutions for both new constructions and renovations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including HVAC, chilled water, boiler, and ventilation systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with electrical, plumbing, and low voltage teams to create integrated MEP-LV designs.
  • Conduct load calculations and energy analyses to optimize system performance and sustainability.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation using industry-standard software.
  • Participate in site assessments and property condition evaluations to inform design decisions.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or the ability to obtain licensure.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical system design, preferably within the MEP industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification processes.
  • Familiarity with energy modeling software and tools.
