Job Description
Title: Manufacturing Plant Controller
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary financial lead for plant, managing all accounting functions in collaboration with offsite leadership.
- Support operational decision-making through financial analysis, forecasting, and identification of cost-saving opportunities.
- Perform month-end close activities and ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.
- Prepare, analyze, and report on KPIs to drive performance improvements and align with broader business objectives.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for the plant and support long-term planning initiatives.
- Manage and review cost accounting structures, including overhead rates, allocations, and cost center organization.
- Partner with site leadership on capital expenditure evaluations and continuous improvement projects.
- Coordinate and oversee annual physical inventories and monthly inventory reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate classification of P&L and balance sheet items, working in coordination with shared services.
- Assist in the integration and standardization of ERP systems and global financial processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong command of cost accounting, budgeting, and operational finance within an industrial setting.
- Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
- Proven ability to work independently in a plant environment while collaborating across functions.
- Strong communication skills and professional judgment.
- Demonstrated initiative and adaptability in fast-paced, dynamic operations.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for occasional site or HQ coordination.
