Civil Engineer

Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Transportation/Highway Engineer to join their growing team. This role involves leading and contributing to the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the design of highways, roads, and transportation systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and traffic analysis.
- Prepare engineering reports, plans, and specifications for transportation projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surveyors, planners, and construction professionals.
- Ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering software for design and analysis.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure quality and compliance with design specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
- 5+ years of experience in transportation/highway engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and transportation modeling software.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, AASHTO standards, and local transportation policies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
