Position Summary:

As a Construction Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in the preconstruction process—collaborating with leadership, clients, and trade partners to deliver accurate, competitive, and well-analyzed proposals for a wide range of commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate estimates
  • Lead the quantity takeoff process and cost analysis for labor, materials, and equipment
  • Solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing and evaluate proposals
  • Collaborate with internal teams (preconstruction, project management, operations)
  • Participate in design and coordination meetings with clients and consultants
  • Develop conceptual and detailed estimates during all phases of preconstruction
  • Assist in value engineering, constructability reviews, and project phasing strategies
  • Support bid presentations and help win work through strong client engagement

Qualifications:

  • 3–7 years of estimating experience in commercial construction
  • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., WinEst, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Excel)
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and systems
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
