Job Title: Benefits Manager

Location: On-site

Job Type: Temp to Perm

Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and strategic Benefits Manager with hands-on Workday experience to join our HR team. This role is responsible for the administration, compliance, and strategic development of all employee benefit programs—including health, wellness, retirement, and leave plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA, HSA, life insurance, disability, etc.)
  • Oversee benefits operations and data within Workday, including enrollments, life events, eligibility, and reporting
  • Act as the primary liaison between employees, insurance carriers, brokers, and vendors
  • Ensure programs comply with applicable laws and regulations (ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA)
  • Lead annual open enrollment, including planning, communication, and system updates
  • Handle benefits-related audits, reconciliations, and reporting with accuracy and timeliness
  • Partner with Payroll and HRIS to ensure proper integration and data flow across systems
  • Evaluate and recommend benefits offerings aligned with employee needs and company goals
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefits questions, claims, and escalations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of benefits administration experience, with proven Workday system proficiency
  • Strong knowledge of benefits laws and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing open enrollment and working with external vendors/brokers
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

Preferred:

  • CEBS certification or progress toward completion
  • Experience with leave of absence management and wellness initiatives
  • Familiarity with multi-state benefits administration
