Job Description

A mid-sized litigation-focused law firm in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their growing legal team.

Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and one flexible day)

Location: Midtown Manhattan

Hours: 9:00am–5:00/6:00pm (eligible for OT after 35 hours)

Base salary: $70K-$90K (commensurate with experience) + bonus eligible

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal and factual research using databases such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and BloombergLaw
  • Review, proofread, and cite-check legal documents in accordance with Bluebook citation rules
  • Assist with drafting and e-filing of briefs, pleadings, and other court documents in federal courts
  • Organize and manage case files, including retrieval of regulations and rules
  • Support attorneys in trial and deposition preparation, including exhibit creation and meeting coordination
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping records using firm software
  • Collaborate with attorneys, staff, and external vendors to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2–5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm setting
  • Proficient in Bluebooking and cite-checking legal documents
  • Strong legal research skills; familiarity with court systems and legal databases
  • Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading and editing abilities
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Prior experience in securities or complex commercial litigation is a plus
  • Flexibility to work overtime and adjust hours as needed
