Job Description
Position Summary
Seeking a Construction Project Executive to lead and supervise in-house design-build project teams. This leadership role involves managing Project Managers across one or more major projects, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction—especially within the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead successful execution of construction projects, delivering on project objectives and client expectations
- Develop and enhance project management processes; mentor and train junior team members
- Coordinate project requirements and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Oversee and generate project reports on progress, cost, and schedule for clients and senior leadership
- Build and sustain strong client relationships; support new project pursuits
- Identify and engage subcontractors and vendors; manage bid preparation, evaluation, and awards
- Negotiate and administer subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders
- Oversee project cost tracking and scheduling; conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings
- Supervise project documentation, including RFIs, shop drawings, and close‑out packages
- Provide direct leadership to on‑site personnel
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
- 12–20+ years of construction project management experience, particularly in industrial/manufacturing environments (food, automotive, cold storage a plus)
- Proven experience in design-build delivery
- In‑depth knowledge of construction engineering principals, materials, methods, scheduling, estimating, contracts, and field operations
- Familiarity with insurance, liability, and claims avoidance
- Competency in using project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $150,000 – $185,000 annually (based on experience, qualifications, and location)
