Project Manager – Commercial Construction
📍 Greater Indianapolis Area (Some Regional Travel May Apply)

About the Opportunity
A well-established, integrated construction and design firm is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. This is a company known for building with purpose — focusing on healthcare, industrial, institutional, and commercial work — and for developing long-term relationships with both clients and employees.
This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager who wants ownership, visibility, and the ability to impact project execution while collaborating with talented internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle: budgeting, buyout, scheduling, client coordination, and execution
- Manage communication between owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal staff
- Track project financials including change orders, forecasting, and invoicing
- Conduct and lead OAC (Owner/Architect/Contractor) meetings and jobsite progress reviews
- Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and schedule adherence
- Collaborate with field staff to support site logistics and resolve issues quickly
- Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular status updates
- Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, contributing to team growth
Ideal Candidate Background
- 5–12+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects
- Proven success in healthcare, K-12, higher ed, municipal, or light industrial markets preferred
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, buyout, subcontractor coordination, and closeout
- Excellent organizational and client-facing communication skills
- Proficient in construction management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- A collaborative leader with the ability to manage risk and meet deadlines
