Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to lead business development efforts for a provider of commercial truck leasing and fleet solutions. This role is focused on growing revenue across full-service leasing, maintenance, and rental programs by identifying new business opportunities and nurturing long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new business acquisition by prospecting companies in need of fleet leasing, maintenance, or rental services.
- Regularly engage in cold calling, territory canvassing, and follow-up to generate qualified leads.
- Prepare and deliver tailored proposals to prospective clients, addressing their transportation and fleet service needs.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new accounts and maintain relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction and growth.
- Represent the organization’s service-oriented culture to both existing customers and new prospects.
- Use strategic sales techniques and local market knowledge to achieve territory growth goals.
- Maintain a flexible, self-directed schedule to meet objectives within the assigned region.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience; background in transportation, logistics, or truck/trailer leasing preferred.
- Solid understanding of the Richmond, VA business landscape and surrounding markets.
- Familiarity with fleet management, truck leasing, or vehicle maintenance services is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage a pipeline, and close deals.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
