Job Description
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a reliable Security Installer to join our team. In this role, you’ll install and service security systems at commercial buildings. If you’ve worked with cameras, door access systems, and alarm systems before – and enjoy working with your hands – this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do:
- Install and wire security equipment like cameras, access control systems (door badges/keypads), and alarm systems.
- Set up and test systems to make sure everything works properly.
- Work on job sites with minimal supervision.
- Help troubleshoot and fix issues when systems aren’t working.
- Keep track of your progress and report updates to the team.
- Provide friendly, helpful service to customers.
- Sometimes lead small jobs or help guide junior techs.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 2 years of experience installing security systems like cameras, alarms, and card readers.
- Comfortable working on job sites and occasionally leading smaller projects.
- Basic knowledge of how internet/networking works (e.g., IP addresses, connecting devices).
- Good communication skills and able to work independently.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Certifications in brands like Honeywell, Genetec, Brivo, or Exacq are a plus—but not required.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Extra training from a tech school or military service in electronics is a plus
