Registered Nurse/Document Reviewer – Remote – Temporary Position

 

Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating the health assessments of health care personnel seeking employment in compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations, specifically Comp. Codes R. & Regs. Tit. 10 § 766.11 – Personnel. This role requires careful review of medical and health-related information submitted by prospective employees to ensure they meet the health and safety requirements set forth by state law.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review completed health assessments submitted by health care personnel as part of the employment process.
  • Ensure that health assessment forms are completed thoroughly, accurately, and in compliance with New York State regulations (Comp. Codes R. & Regs. Tit. 10 § 766.11).
  • Assess the health status of applicants, in collaboration with NPs, to determine eligibility for employment based on the evaluation of communicable diseases, immunizations, and other health conditions.
  • Provide guidance on necessary follow-up actions, such as additional medical assessments or vaccinations, as required by state regulations.
  • Maintain confidential and accurate records of self-health assessments and related correspondence, in compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in local, state, and federal healthcare regulations related to personnel health assessments and employment requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Experience & Education

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience in Occupational Health or Primary Care required.

Some evenings, occasional Saturdays

Must be licensed in NY and okay working EST
