Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform high-quality MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Review patient history and assess clinical information to ensure appropriateness of imaging examinations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort and safety.
  • Accurately position patients and operate MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
  • Administer contrast agents and monitor patients for adverse reactions during imaging.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records, including procedure notes.
  • Perform routine quality assurance checks on MRI equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated diagnostic care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and accreditation processes to uphold imaging excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by ARRT, with MRI certification required within 12 months.
  • State licensure as required by applicable law.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience, with 2 years preferred in MRI imaging.
  • Strong knowledge of MRI protocols, patient safety, and quality assurance practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Commitment to continuing education and staying current with advances in MRI technology.
  • Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
