Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage the complete billing cycle for assigned client portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and finalize bills according to alternative fee arrangements and client guidelines.
- Collaborate with eBilling specialists and client onboarding managers for seamless billing operations.
- Communicate with partners, assistants, and clients to address billing inquiries and revisions.
- Provide ad hoc reports and recommendations based on billing trends and realization rates.
- Establish effective support processes to ensure continuity during absences.
- Participate in process improvements and propose solutions for the Revenue group.
- Respond to inquiries regarding billing and payment information promptly and professionally.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business discipline preferred; Bachelor’s degree is advantageous.
- Minimum three years of billing experience in a law firm; four years preferred.
- Proficiency in legal accounting software, such as Aderant or 3E Elite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prepare accurate work products.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with attorneys and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Experience in a collaborative, professional environment with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
