Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Plan, organize, and direct services delivered by the Adult Critical Care department in alignment with hospital goals.
- Collaborate with department leadership to ensure nursing care adheres to professional standards and administrative policies.
- Maintain effective communication across teams to foster collaboration and enhance patient care quality.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to policies and programs for better patient care outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality benchmarks within the Medical ICU.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, promoting a team-oriented and collaborative work environment.
- Coordinate with medical staff to integrate advanced healthcare innovations into patient care practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degree preferred.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS provider certifications.
- 2 years of recent critical care leadership experience, preferably in ICU settings.
- CCRN and/or CNRN certifications are preferred.
- Strong focus on quality, regulatory compliance, and care experience tactics.
- Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
