Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Plan, organize, and direct services delivered by the Adult Critical Care department in alignment with hospital goals.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to ensure nursing care adheres to professional standards and administrative policies.
  • Maintain effective communication across teams to foster collaboration and enhance patient care quality.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to policies and programs for better patient care outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality benchmarks within the Medical ICU.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, promoting a team-oriented and collaborative work environment.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to integrate advanced healthcare innovations into patient care practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS provider certifications.
  • 2 years of recent critical care leadership experience, preferably in ICU settings.
  • CCRN and/or CNRN certifications are preferred.
  • Strong focus on quality, regulatory compliance, and care experience tactics.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
