Overview
- Join a dynamic architectural team as a Job Captain, overseeing technical project execution and ensuring quality control throughout the design and construction phases.
- Collaborate with consultants, clients, and internal teams to deliver innovative architectural solutions that meet project goals and deadlines.
- Work on-site to manage construction administration tasks, including shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, and city submittals.
- Contribute to the production of construction documents and record drawings, ensuring clarity and adherence to quality standards.
- Engage in internal and external meetings, fostering collaboration and alignment among stakeholders.
- Support estimating and construction teams with project details, bidding concerns, and document coordination.
- Participate in team efforts to meet targeted deadlines, achieve group goals, and drive firm-wide improvements.
- Maintain regular interaction with coworkers, supervisors, consultants, and clients, ensuring smooth project workflows.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee technical execution of architectural projects, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Coordinate with external consultants, monitor progress, and manage workload against project timelines.
- Perform construction administration tasks, including job site visits, submittals, and record set drawings production.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and produce detailed construction documents.
- Attend meetings with coworkers, consultants, and clients to ensure project alignment and collaboration.
- Collaborate with estimating and construction teams to address bidding concerns and document clarity.
- Assist team efforts in meeting deadlines, achieving goals, and improving firm-wide processes.
- Follow and enforce quality control procedures to ensure project success.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Architecture (B.Arch.) required, with a strong foundation in architectural principles.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in architectural project management; 6 years preferred.
- Proficiency in construction administration tasks, including shop drawing reviews and RFI responses.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teams, consultants, and clients.
- Ability to manage individual workflows and processes while contributing to team efforts.
- Experience in producing construction documents and record set drawings with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and commitment to enforcing them.
- On-site work arrangement required, with regular interaction and collaboration.
