  • Support attorneys in preparing estate planning documents and managing client cases.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Draft estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Assist clients with signing estate planning documents and provide guidance.
  • Prepare probate and administration petitions for estates in New York and New Jersey.
  • Manage estate administration tasks, including asset retitling and court communications.
  • Prepare deeds and associated documents for recording with County Clerk.
  • Organize documents for estate and inheritance tax returns and Medicaid applications.
  • Track financial transactions and analyze bank statements for estate management.
  • Coordinate document collection and manage government benefits application processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; 3 years preferred.
  • Demonstrated mastery of practice area skills and professional knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively resolve issues.
  • Experience in project management or training is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for document management.
  • Proficiency in handling routine matters with discretion and initiative.
  • Knowledge of estate planning, tax preparation, and Medicaid application processes.
