Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Draft estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
- Assist clients with signing estate planning documents and provide guidance.
- Prepare probate and administration petitions for estates in New York and New Jersey.
- Manage estate administration tasks, including asset retitling and court communications.
- Prepare deeds and associated documents for recording with County Clerk.
- Organize documents for estate and inheritance tax returns and Medicaid applications.
- Track financial transactions and analyze bank statements for estate management.
- Coordinate document collection and manage government benefits application processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; 3 years preferred.
- Demonstrated mastery of practice area skills and professional knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and proactively resolve issues.
- Experience in project management or training is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for document management.
- Proficiency in handling routine matters with discretion and initiative.
