Job Description

Overview

  • Lead nursing operations in a dynamic Emergency Department within a thriving healthcare network.
  • Oversee main ED with 125 daily census and Free Standing ED with 105 daily census.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure high-quality patient care and clinical outcomes.
  • Drive initiatives for patient safety, satisfaction, and evidence-based practices.
  • Manage staffing, budgeting, and performance for a Level I Trauma Center.
  • Mentor nursing leaders and frontline staff to foster professional growth.
  • Contribute to the expansion of services, including a new Free Standing ED.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practices.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance patient safety, quality of care, and satisfaction.
  • Oversee staffing, budgeting, and performance management for ED operations.
  • Mentor and develop nursing leaders and frontline staff for professional growth.
  • Coordinate the opening and operations of a new Free Standing ED.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in evidence-based practices and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage staffing, budgeting, and performance.
  • Experience in rural healthcare settings is advantageous.
  • Ability to foster collaboration and accountability within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to enhancing patient safety, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.
  • Willingness to work on-site in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
