Overview
- Join a high-volume food production facility as an Electrical Controls Technician.
- Provide critical night shift support in a multicraft maintenance environment.
- Troubleshoot and navigate PLC systems without engineering support.
- Work confidently with high-voltage systems, motors, drives, and servos.
- Operate independently during off-hours to address maintenance needs.
- Contribute to a unionized facility with opportunities for direct hire.
- Utilize advanced control software for diagnostics and fault resolution.
- Enhance operational efficiency in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Troubleshoot electrical control systems during night shift operations.
- Go online with PLCs using Studio 5000, RSLogix, and Asset Center.
- Navigate control software for diagnostics and fault resolution.
- Respond to maintenance calls across mechanical and electrical domains.
- Work with up to 480V systems, including motors, drives, and servos.
- Perform hands-on tasks such as swapping motors and replacing drives.
- Operate confidently without frequent supervisor intervention.
- Ensure safety and effectiveness while working with high-voltage equipment.
Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in multicraft maintenance roles.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with PLCs and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with Rockwell Automation platforms such as Studio 5000 and RSLogix.
- Comfortable working night shifts and taking initiative in a lead-type capacity.
- Ability to work safely and effectively with high-voltage equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform hands-on repairs.
- Experience in manufacturing or process environments preferred.
