Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Investigate workers’ compensation cases and gather evidence for hearings and trials.
- Handle cases from intake through settlement, hearings, and/or trials.
- Maintain significant contact with clients, insurance adjusters, attorneys, and courts.
- Prepare legal documents and manage case files using Filevine and CompHub platforms.
- Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with Maryland workers’ compensation laws.
- Assist in personal injury cases as needed, leveraging relevant experience.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and Adobe tools for document preparation and communication.
- Support the firm’s mission to advocate for the rights of injured victims.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in workers’ compensation cases; 4 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Filevine software.
- Experience with Maryland’s CompHub platform is essential.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.
- Strong written communication and organizational skills required.
- Ability to work onsite five days a week with potential for one remote day.
