Job Description

Overview

  • Coordinate and implement state advocacy initiatives and legislative activities for the client.
  • Serve as liaison for the State Advocacy Committee, ensuring governance and policy alignment.
  • Track and analyze state health policy developments, providing comprehensive updates to stakeholders.
  • Develop and disseminate advocacy materials, including articles, position papers, and educational resources.
  • Engage in outreach to state medical societies and sections to gather intelligence and align policies.
  • Assist in planning and executing advocacy events, such as summits and policy weekends.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive advocacy initiatives forward.
  • Provide analysis and comments on legislative resolutions impacting the client’s priorities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Implement and evaluate state legislative agendas, tracking relevant developments.
  • Coordinate committee meetings, develop agendas, and draft minutes.
  • Research and develop advocacy materials for dissemination to stakeholders.
  • Engage in outreach to build networks and support advocacy initiatives.
  • Plan and execute advocacy events, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Monitor and analyze state legislation, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with teams to align state and federal advocacy efforts.
  • Draft official communications on legislative issues affecting urology.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Relations, Health Policy, or related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in advocacy, legislative processes, or health policy.
  • Knowledge of state legislative processes and health regulation policies.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for document and data management.
  • Experience in health legislation research and strategic advocacy planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure in a collaborative setting.
  • Willingness to travel moderately for meetings and events.
