Job Description

Overview

  • Join a dynamic team as an Operations Accountant in a hybrid work environment.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation and posting of investment activity to the General Ledger (GL).
  • Collaborate with various departments to streamline operational and accounting processes.
  • Contribute to the firm's Gold Standard hybrid work culture and innovative mindset.
  • Leverage industry knowledge to monitor trends and implications for the firm.
  • Utilize advanced systems like Wall Street Office (WSO) and Workday for operational excellence.
  • Engage in continuous learning and process improvement to drive value creation.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and special initiatives as directed by management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Reconcile daily bank cash activity and ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and book General Ledger (GL) entries efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Administrators to manage accounting system entries.
  • Generate management reports and provide operational support to team members.
  • Act as a liaison between Operations and Fund Accounting Departments.
  • Identify and escalate reconciling items from multiple institutions.
  • Support special client or business-driven projects as required.
  • Contribute to the firm's Gold Standards Model for achieving results and personal effectiveness.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in similar industry.
  • Preferred 4 years of experience in operations/accounting within private equity or leveraged finance.
  • Proficiency in Wall Street Office (WSO), Workday, or similar applications is advantageous.
  • Strong Excel skills and account reconciliation expertise required.
  • Experience with GL systems in banking or lending is a strong plus.
  • Enthusiastic about contributing to a hybrid work culture and team collaboration.
