Overview

- Work closely with the Controller to manage transactional accounting processes and support month-end close activities.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of operational accounting data and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain proper cost allocations and improve financial procedures.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, variance analyses, and documentation for audits.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare financial statements and assist with variance analyses and reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage daily cash reconciliations of multiple accounts.
- Assist with audits, providing supporting documentation and calculations as needed.
- Monitor receivable and payable balances, clearing aged items to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Oversee monthly inventory reconciliation processes and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Provide ad hoc reporting for management and marketing teams as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of operational or general accounting experience; 4 years preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
- Experience with inventory reconciliation and cash management processes preferred.
