Overview

  • Join a dynamic financial services firm as an Associate, contributing to efficient financial operations and compliance with policies.
  • Work closely with the Controller to manage transactional accounting processes and support month-end close activities.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of operational accounting data and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain proper cost allocations and improve financial procedures.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, variance analyses, and documentation for audits.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare financial statements and assist with variance analyses and reporting.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage daily cash reconciliations of multiple accounts.
  • Assist with audits, providing supporting documentation and calculations as needed.
  • Monitor receivable and payable balances, clearing aged items to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Oversee monthly inventory reconciliation processes and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting for management and marketing teams as required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of operational or general accounting experience; 4 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
  • Experience with inventory reconciliation and cash management processes preferred.
  • Hybrid work arrangement requires occasional on-site presence.
