Job Description

Overview

  • Lead futures clearance operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize clearance processes and reporting accuracy.
  • Utilize advanced technologies, including FIS GMI, SQL, and Python, for process improvements.
  • Monitor futures clearance activities across exchanges and foreign clearing brokers.
  • Supervise margin call processing and reconciliation of futures statements.
  • Ensure compliance with CME and CFTC trade clearance and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to a dynamic team culture focused on innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor and manage futures clearance activities at major exchanges and clearing brokers.
  • Perform reconciliations, including point balance and customer cash balancing.
  • Update and adjust positions at exchanges as required.
  • Ensure accurate trade reporting using FIS GMI and exchange platforms.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues with front office and parent company.
  • Implement process improvements using advanced Excel functionalities and programming tools.
  • Supervise team operations and provide leadership in clearance activities.
  • Maintain compliance with industry reporting rules and regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in futures clearance; 7 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in FIS GMI, CME, and CFTC platforms essential.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including vlookup and macros, are advantageous.
  • Experience in team leadership and supervisory roles preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to enact process improvements.
  • Knowledge of SQL and Python programming is a plus.
