Overview

  • Lead perioperative nursing services, ensuring optimal patient care and compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Manage OR and PACU operations, fostering collaboration among healthcare teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for quality and efficiency in patient care.
  • Support Magnet certification journey, enhancing professional nursing practices.
  • Provide leadership in emergency preparedness and resource management.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in nursing operations.
  • Develop and implement patient safety and care delivery systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve healthcare objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of OR and PACU units, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Lead staff training, development, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient care quality.
  • Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Facilitate collaboration among physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Lead emergency preparedness and recovery planning for perioperative services.
  • Drive strategic improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in perioperative nursing.
  • Registered Nurse License and Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of patient safety, compliance, and healthcare quality standards.
  • Proficiency in change management and business process improvement.
  • Experience in Magnet certification processes and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
