Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee daily operations of OR and PACU units, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Lead staff training, development, and succession planning initiatives.
- Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient care quality.
- Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Facilitate collaboration among physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Lead emergency preparedness and recovery planning for perioperative services.
- Drive strategic improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in perioperative nursing.
- Registered Nurse License and Basic Life Support certification required.
- Strong knowledge of patient safety, compliance, and healthcare quality standards.
- Proficiency in change management and business process improvement.
- Experience in Magnet certification processes and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
