  • Join a dynamic health sciences school as an Administrative Assistant on a contract basis, providing essential support to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide general office and administrative support to the health sciences school, ensuring efficient daily operations.
  • Manage databases, calendars, and workflows using Microsoft Office Suite tools to maintain organization.
  • Plan and coordinate events, including logistics and communication with stakeholders.
  • Place orders, process reimbursements, and handle work orders to support departmental needs.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, ensuring professional interactions.
  • Maintain attention to detail and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide professional telephone etiquette and manage correspondence with internal and external contacts.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent education required, with entry-level experience in administrative roles preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative support or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking skills, and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent typing skills and general office capabilities, including database and calendar management.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette.
  • Experience in event planning, order placement, and reimbursement processing preferred.
