Job Description

Overview

  • Provide advanced critical care as a Nurse Practitioner in a dynamic ICU setting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Work with complex cardiovascular and heart failure cases, including ECMO and LVAD patients.
  • Engage in a supportive environment focused on professional growth and development.
  • Participate in 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions in cardiovascular and heart failure patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
  • Provide post-operative care for cardiac and transplant patients.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of care.
  • Participate in continuous education and training initiatives.
  • Contribute to quality improvement projects within the ICU.

Job Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing with AGACNP certification.
  • Current Texas nursing license and ACLS/BLS certifications.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in cardiology or critical care.
  • Preferred 5 years of experience in acute care or heart failure ICU.
  • Knowledge of ECMO, LVAD, and transplant patient management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration.
