Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform SEC research, retrieving documents, analyzing precedents, and drafting agreements.
- Conduct corporate research on companies, individuals, governance issues, and transactions.
- Provide litigation research, including case analysis and retrieval of legal documents.
- Execute legislative, regulatory, financial, and statistical research as required.
- Update internal publications and seminar materials with accurate data.
- Create and monitor alerts for news, filings, and legal updates.
- Evaluate and recommend new information resources to improve research capabilities.
- Assist in training programs for associates and paralegals to enhance research proficiency.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Library Science required; JD preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of legal research experience; 7 years preferred.
- Proficiency in databases such as Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg, and others.
- Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
