Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including general, vascular, breast, and echocardiographic exams.
- Review patient history and clinical indications to determine appropriate imaging approaches.
- Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the process.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal images for accurate diagnosis.
- Document procedure details, findings, and patient interactions in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to support timely and comprehensive patient care.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality assurance of sonographic equipment.
- Stay current with advances in sonographic techniques and emerging technologies.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Registered by ARDMS or CCI in applicable specialty areas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience; 2 years preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail in diagnostic imaging.
- Experience in hospital or outpatient imaging settings preferred.
- Ability to work on-site with flexible shifts and locations.
