Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including general, vascular, breast, and echocardiographic exams.
  • Review patient history and clinical indications to determine appropriate imaging approaches.
  • Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the process.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal images for accurate diagnosis.
  • Document procedure details, findings, and patient interactions in electronic medical records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to support timely and comprehensive patient care.
  • Perform routine maintenance and quality assurance of sonographic equipment.
  • Stay current with advances in sonographic techniques and emerging technologies.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
  • Registered by ARDMS or CCI in applicable specialty areas.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience; 2 years preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail in diagnostic imaging.
  • Experience in hospital or outpatient imaging settings preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site with flexible shifts and locations.
