- Lead and manage the operations of a 45-bed medical-surgical unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and staff coordination.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to maintain departmental objectives and align with organizational goals.
- Provide hands-on support to nursing staff and patients as needed, fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Monitor patient care standards, ensuring compliance with core measures and hospital policies.
- Supervise and evaluate nursing personnel, addressing performance and policy adherence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate nursing staff assignments based on patient care needs and staff competencies.
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of care.
- Provide direct supervision and conflict resolution for nursing personnel.
- Conduct daily rounds to assess patient and staff needs, addressing concerns proactively.
- Maintain accurate performance improvement data and oversee compliance with core measures.
- Collaborate with medical staff to address patient care issues and improve service delivery.
- Support recruitment and retention efforts by fostering a positive work environment.
- Assist in budget management and resource allocation for the unit.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution is required.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with 3 years preferred.
- Experience in managing medical-surgical units or similar healthcare environments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage staff and operations.
- Ability to provide hands-on patient care when necessary.
- Willingness to relocate, with relocation assistance available.
