Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive patient care and administrative support in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Conduct patient intake, medical history documentation, and health education services.
  • Support clinical operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Assist in scheduling, billing, and revenue cycle management tasks.
  • Maintain clinic cleanliness, organization, and readiness for patient services.
  • Perform laboratory tests and ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols.
  • Participate in training programs to maintain clinical skills and competencies.
  • Provide culturally responsive care and education to diverse patient populations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Greet patients, verify insurance, and manage patient demographics in electronic health records.
  • Document patient health history and alert clinicians to critical information.
  • Provide health education on reproductive healthcare and general wellness topics.
  • Perform laboratory tests, package specimens, and maintain lab protocols.
  • Assist in abortion services, including counseling and surgical room support.
  • Manage appointment schedules, patient calls, and clinic flow to optimize operations.
  • Ensure clinic areas are clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
  • Participate in health center efforts to achieve productivity and service goals.
  • Adhere to HIPAA policies and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare or customer service; 2 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and basic computer applications.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and culturally responsive care.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting patients and equipment.
  • Experience in high-volume settings and familiarity with healthcare protocols.
