Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to the financial health of a dynamic hospitality organization as a Senior Accountant.
  • Manage full-cycle accounting processes for a diverse portfolio of branded hotels.
  • Collaborate with leadership on budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial planning.
  • Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making and growth initiatives.
  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreements.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Engage in construction project accounting and capital improvement tracking.
  • Prepare investor reports and manage quarterly cash distributions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes for assigned properties.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage journal entries, including payroll, tax reserves, and accruals.
  • Oversee cash management, bank reconciliations, and franchise invoicing.
  • Collaborate with the CFO on strategic planning and investor reporting.
  • Support hotel managers with financial training and insights.
  • Assist in construction project accounting and loan draw management.
  • Mentor junior accountants, promoting professional growth and teamwork.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience; hospitality or public accounting preferred.
  • CPA certification completed or in progress highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as Sage, M3, and Paycom.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret contracts, loan documents, and financial agreements.
  • Valid driver’s license for occasional business travel.
