Overview
- Contribute to the financial health of a dynamic hospitality organization as a Senior Accountant.
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes for a diverse portfolio of branded hotels.
- Collaborate with leadership on budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial planning.
- Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making and growth initiatives.
- Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreements.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Engage in construction project accounting and capital improvement tracking.
- Prepare investor reports and manage quarterly cash distributions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes for assigned properties.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage journal entries, including payroll, tax reserves, and accruals.
- Oversee cash management, bank reconciliations, and franchise invoicing.
- Collaborate with the CFO on strategic planning and investor reporting.
- Support hotel managers with financial training and insights.
- Assist in construction project accounting and loan draw management.
- Mentor junior accountants, promoting professional growth and teamwork.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience; hospitality or public accounting preferred.
- CPA certification completed or in progress highly desirable.
- Proficiency in financial systems such as Sage, M3, and Paycom.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret contracts, loan documents, and financial agreements.
- Valid driver’s license for occasional business travel.
