Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a temporary HR Generalist for a hybrid role in a retail banking environment.
  • Manage employee relations with a focus on reactive and union-related matters.
  • Provide HR support for commercial and retail banking operations.
  • Collaborate with management to address workforce challenges and compliance needs.
  • Work on-site three days per week, with flexibility for additional meetings.
  • Position available until the end of the year, offering a dynamic work environment.
  • Contribute to HR strategies that align with organizational goals and employee satisfaction.
  • Engage in proactive problem-solving and conflict resolution within the workforce.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Handle employee relations issues, including reactive and union-related concerns.
  • Support HR functions in commercial and retail banking settings.
  • Coordinate with management to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Assist in workforce planning and development initiatives.
  • Participate in on-site meetings and provide HR expertise as needed.
  • Develop and implement HR policies to enhance employee engagement.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for staff development.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and resolutions.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Arts (AA) degree or equivalent educational background required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience in commercial or retail banking.
  • Preferred 6 years of HR experience for enhanced qualifications.
  • Strong expertise in handling reactive employee relations and union matters.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid setting with on-site presence as required.
  • Proficiency in labor law compliance and workforce management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for conflict resolution.
