Job Description

Overview

  • The Senior Accountant role offers a dynamic opportunity to manage financial operations and reporting within a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure accurate and timely financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Contribute to maintaining compliance with accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Engage in high-volume financial reconciliation and reporting tasks to support organizational goals.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills, including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Prepare federal, state, and local reports and tax returns with precision and adherence to deadlines.
  • Address audit requests and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage month-end close processes, including payroll posting, accounts receivable, and general accruals.
  • Perform general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Maintain and update work papers for balance sheet accounts with supporting documentation.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
  • Investigate and correct errors in financial entries and third-party reports.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end payroll reconciliations and address audit requests.
  • Collaborate with teams to collect data for federal, state, and local reporting requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a senior or general ledger accountant role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and advanced Excel skills, including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience with Great Plains or Workday software preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for effective reporting.
  • Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Healthcare industry background is a plus.
