Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage month-end close processes, including payroll posting, accounts receivable, and general accruals.
- Perform general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Maintain and update work papers for balance sheet accounts with supporting documentation.
- Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Investigate and correct errors in financial entries and third-party reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Prepare quarterly and year-end payroll reconciliations and address audit requests.
- Collaborate with teams to collect data for federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Minimum five years of experience in a senior or general ledger accountant role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and advanced Excel skills, including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables.
- Experience with Great Plains or Workday software preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for effective reporting.
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Healthcare industry background is a plus.
