Job Description

Overview

  • Provide administrative support within the School of Health Sciences, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Assist with database management, calendar scheduling, and event coordination for the department.
  • Handle reimbursements, work orders, and workflows with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for document creation and data management.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ensure professional verbal and written communication, including telephone etiquette and correspondence.
  • Support general office tasks and administrative duties as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and achieve departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage departmental databases, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Coordinate schedules and maintain calendars for faculty and staff.
  • Organize and execute event planning activities, including logistics and communication.
  • Process reimbursements and work orders in compliance with institutional policies.
  • Prepare documents and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite tools.
  • Provide professional telephone and email communication support.
  • Assist in workflow management and administrative processes.
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required, preferably in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in an academic setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette.
