Job Description

Overview

  • Manage the operational lifecycle of syndicated loan investments, ensuring accurate trade settlement, cash flow processing, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with front office teams to handle complex transactions and portfolio holdings effectively.
  • Lead operational teams in a fast-paced investment environment, driving efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement automated processes and controls to enhance operational workflows.
  • Provide detailed investment information to institutional clients, maintaining strong relationships and trust.
  • Participate in client due diligence processes, including questionnaires and meetings.
  • Stay updated on market practices, regulatory changes, and industry standards affecting loan operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of loan closing, including trade review, documentation, and wire transfers.
  • Ensure accurate processing of bank loan activities, adhering to best practices and workflows.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations of loan positions and transactions, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain and enforce controls related to performance, valuation, and data quality.
  • Provide leadership and training to team members, fostering career development and skills advancement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and senior management to align goals and share knowledge.
  • Lead system implementations and operational process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Utilize data visualization tools and programming languages to streamline operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of eight years in bank loan operations, with three years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in syndicated loan processes, LSTA documentation, and industry regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VBA and automation, are essential.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI and database querying (SQL).
  • Knowledge of operational workflow mapping tools such as Visio or Lucid Chart preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools and programming languages like Python preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
