Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless registration and scheduling process.
  • Coordinate patient services, including insurance verification and appointment scheduling, in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a welcoming and organized front desk environment to enhance patient experience.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure accurate patient information and timely service delivery.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression and professional demeanor.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, addressing discrepancies as needed.
  • Register patients accurately, collecting and updating necessary personal and medical information.
  • Schedule patient appointments, coordinating with healthcare providers to optimize availability.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in resolving patient billing inquiries and processing payments efficiently.
  • Support administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in healthcare administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in front desk or reception roles.
  • Proficiency in insurance verification and patient registration processes.
  • Experience in outpatient healthcare settings is advantageous.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient records.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and external parties.
