Job Description

Overview

  • Develop and maintain database infrastructure for a leading regulatory asset management solution in FDA-regulated environments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design scalable, multi-tenant database architectures supporting global pharmaceutical and biotech operations.
  • Optimize database performance, ensuring data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable database components and libraries for enhanced application functionality.
  • Implement data migration strategies and ETL processes to support customer onboarding and data transformation.
  • Utilize advanced database technologies, including SQL Server, Entity Framework, and SSIS, for robust data management solutions.
  • Ensure long-term data retention and compliance storage through effective partitioning and archival strategies.
  • Support regulatory audit requirements by maintaining audit trails and implementing data protection measures.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design and implement database schemas supporting complex business processes in FDA-regulated environments.
  • Develop optimized T-SQL scripts for data access, business logic, and reporting functionalities.
  • Architect multi-tenant database solutions ensuring data isolation and performance scalability.
  • Create and maintain database objects, including tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate multiple data sources and ensure data consistency.
  • Monitor and tune database performance for large-scale, multi-tenant environments.
  • Implement role-based security and encryption measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Document database schemas and architectural decisions for team collaboration and regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in database development with expertise in SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in T-SQL for complex queries, stored procedures, and database design principles.
  • Experience with multi-tenant database architectures and data isolation patterns.
  • Knowledge of Entity Framework, SSIS, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with debugging systems, source control tools, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Understanding of FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance and audit trail implementation.
  • Experience in Life Sciences or FDA-regulated industries is advantageous.
