Job Description

Overview

  • Lead system-level engineering efforts for advanced computer vision technologies in a hybrid work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and technical excellence.
  • Develop and maintain model-based systems engineering artifacts using industry-standard tools.
  • Contribute to airworthiness and certification processes through rigorous verification and conformity inspections.
  • Perform functional hazard analyses and system safety assessments to ensure compliance.
  • Act as a key integrator between technical areas, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Utilize deep familiarity with government reference architectures to inform design decisions.
  • Eligible candidates must maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Derive and allocate system requirements, ensuring traceability using tools like Cameo and Jama.
  • Lead functional hazard analyses, system safety assessments, and preliminary system safety assessments.
  • Coordinate verification matrices and conformity inspections for airworthiness certifications.
  • Develop and manage model-based systems engineering artifacts in Cameo.
  • Collaborate with integrated product teams to arbitrate competing requirements effectively.
  • Serve as the chief integrator between technical areas, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Maintain compliance with government reference architectures and certification standards.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft systems engineering leadership.
  • Strong familiarity with government reference architectures and certification processes.
  • Proficiency in model-based systems engineering tools such as Cameo.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred certifications include INCOSE CSEP or ESEP.
  • Bonus points for experience with autonomous or optionally piloted aircraft certification.
  • Exceptional influence and arbitration skills to manage competing requirements.
