Sr. Accountant, Development

Overview

• Serve as a Senior Accountant specializing in development accounting for data center construction projects.
• Prepare construction loan requisitions and maintain monthly job costing reports for accurate financial tracking.
• Generate quarterly and annual financial reports and work papers adhering to GAAP standards.
• Analyze general ledger entries and financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
• Coordinate invoice approvals, monitor loan budgets, and oversee vendor payments effectively.
• Assist in managing auditor engagements for annual audit report completion.
• Provide accurate financial data to stakeholders, including owners, lenders, and external partners.
• Handle special projects assigned by management, ensuring timely and precise execution.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and year-end work papers for financial reporting.
• Review contractor/vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and timely funding of requisitions.
• Monitor job cost transactions, ensuring accurate recording in accounting systems.
• Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance and timely completion of audit reports.
• Analyze financial statements and prepare adjusting journal entries in line with GAAP.
• Provide financial insights and reports to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
• Support the management team with special financial projects as required.
• Maintain proficiency in accounting software and tools to streamline processes.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience; CPA preferred.
• Experience in data center development and construction accounting highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards, Textura, or Hubble reporting software is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and efficiently.
