Job Description

Overview

  • The Reliability Engineer will oversee and improve equipment reliability within a packaging company, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement reliability strategies and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and execute maintenance plans to ensure consistent equipment functionality.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues.
  • Contribute to the development of reliability standards and procedures within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all reliability activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of reliability activities and equipment performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance to identify reliability issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules to enhance equipment longevity.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment design and functionality.
  • Conduct root cause analyses to address recurring equipment failures and implement solutions.
  • Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff on reliability best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to equipment reliability.
  • Prepare detailed reports on reliability metrics and improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the selection and evaluation of new equipment and technologies.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in reliability engineering; 6 years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of reliability principles and maintenance strategies.
  • Proficiency in analyzing equipment performance data and implementing improvements.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in industrial settings.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
