Job Description

Overview

  • Perform engineering calculations and design systems adhering to established standards, codes, and procedures.
  • Utilize practical knowledge to resolve project-related problems and conflicts independently.
  • Make independent decisions for engineering tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Supervise subordinate personnel and assist other engineers or designers as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers to discuss design scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Prepare design budgets and schedules, estimating discipline man-hours for project completion.
  • Ensure quality assurance and review engineering designs for accuracy and compliance.
  • Mentor and motivate junior engineering designers, fostering professional growth and development.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of discipline-specific and general building codes.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality design standards.
