Job Description

Overview

  • Design and maintain the client's data networks ensuring stability and performance.
  • Assist in planning, designing, and developing LANs, MANs, WANs, and wireless networks.
  • Analyze and resolve network, wireless, VOIP, and video hardware/software issues.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for network hardware/software enhancements.
  • Collaborate with management to assess network capacity needs.
  • Create and maintain documentation for network architecture and configurations.
  • Coordinate with IT teams for disaster recovery and business continuity programs.
  • Provide senior-level technical support for network systems and components.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design and deploy network systems including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Configure networks for optimal operation and business process fulfillment.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as required.
  • Establish performance standards and policies for network management.
  • Collaborate with teams for knowledge transfer and system integration.
  • Coordinate with carriers to resolve Internet and WAN circuit issues.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for network support.
  • Travel to other offices as needed for network-related tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering; 10 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in LAN/WAN protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and Ethernet.
  • Experience with Cisco routers, switches, DNS, DHCP, and Checkpoint firewalls.
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
  • Preferred certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCSP.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-office environment.
