Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the valuation of complex securities across diverse asset classes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and validate valuation models aligned with market best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, risk teams, and auditors to resolve valuation issues effectively.
  • Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and evolving valuation methodologies.
  • Present valuation results and methodologies to senior management and valuation committees.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other regulatory standards in valuation practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and policies for valuation processes.
  • Contribute to innovation by integrating new valuation practices and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform independent valuation of equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative investments.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models for various financial instruments.
  • Monitor market conditions and apply valuation adjustments for liquidity and credit risks.
  • Ensure valuations adhere to accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders during valuation reviews.
  • Present valuation findings to management and committees, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Research and integrate innovative valuation methodologies into existing practices.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of valuation processes for audit and compliance purposes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CPA are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in securities valuation within asset management or investment banking.
  • Expertise in derivatives, structured finance, and alternative investments valuation.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills are essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines effectively.
